Academic Teaching Calendar

Lessons begin Wednesday, September 14, 2022
Lessons end Thursday, June 1, 2023

Teaching Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

32 Weeks of Lessons will be offered between September 14, 2022 - June 1, 2023.

Private lessons will not be taught during the following weeks:
November 21 - 25, 2022 (Thanksgiving Break)
December 19, 2022 - January 3, 2023 (Christmas/Winter Break)
April 3 - 10, 2023 (Easter/Passover)

Make-up Lessons

In the event of a religious holiday, any lesson missed by the student will be rescheduled.
Any 2 lessons missed by the student due to illness during the academic year will be made up in person or offered via ZOOM.
In the event of a required school commitment, every effort to reschedule the lesson will be made but cannot be guaranteed (offered via ZOOM).
In the event of a scheduled family social activity or other social commitment, or forgetting to attend a lesson, lessons will not be made up.

1 Informal Studio Class/Piano Party - TBA


Tuition fees are based on thirty-two 45-minute or 60-minute lessons. Rates are available on request. 
Tuition may be paid in full at the beginning of the academic year or by four 8-week installments, or by two 10-week installments and one 12-week installment.

Tuition payment is DUE the first lesson of the academic year or of each installment period. Payment preference: VENMO, cash or personal check.

NJMTA - Spring Recital Auditions and Performances
Music-Fest - Spring Recital and / or Carnegie Hall Recital Auditions
Spring Evaluations: National Piano Guild Auditions - May 20 - 21, 2023 (Saturday or Sunday) TBA

Parent Observations

Students may invite their parents to observe the private lesson or upon request from the teacher. In the event a parent wishes to observe a lesson, please contact the teacher to arrange a lesson observation.


Please contact me using the Contact link here on the website, or at mireley1@gmail.com, to schedule an informal interview with the potential student and their parent(s). Students will be invited to play a piece of their choice. Students may bring their piano study materials or play from memory. Beginning students will learn 1 or 2 pieces during the interview and parents are invited to discuss scheduling, fee policies and studio events during the interview. Interviews usually last around 30 minutes.

Studio Location

Ewing Township, NJ, about 1.5 mile off I-295, just off Bear Tavern Road near Mountain View Golf Course. Directions will be shared upon contact.
